Spotted this on a walk down Roscoe. It was somewhere between Ashland and Southport.

I saw this on Montrose. I wanted to get a closer look, but then the bus I was waiting for came.

25 East Washington

I've been to the dentist far too much in the past couple months. You don't even want to get me started on the fillings I've had replaced, the multiple visits to get a crown redone and then when I thought it was all done, I had to go back because just a day later I chipped off a chunk of tooth and filling. Not fun.

One thing I do like, though, is the building my dentist office is in. It's at 25 East Washington Street. The outside of the building is not too remarkable, even though it was designed by D.H. Burnham & Company and was completed in 1914. What I really like about the building is the main lobby. I love the ceiling. You just don't see this kind of decoration on ceilings any more!

After Hopleaf at River View

Dallas, Allison, Chad :: River View, Roscoe Village, Chicago

For some reason after eating and drinking so much at Hopleaf and all the silliness that resulted, we decided we hadn't had enough and met up with Danny and Chad at Riverview. Like I said, we're not smart people when we're drunk. Dallas left right away and I should have too, but I was having too much fun. I couldn't even finish one Chimay, though and left a short while later.

Fun night, but I was dead the next day. Unfortunately, I had to get up and meet Jen at 9 am to go to Home Depot to buy supplies for a gardening project. That took a lot of deep breaths and mind-over-matter work. But I did get there and managed to not get sick and even did my project (more on that later). At 3pm I was finally ready to eat and that chicken philly cheesesteak from Philly's Best never tasted so good.
